Coast2Coast Architects have recently lodged a Planning Application with The Moray Council for a new dwelling in the village of Findhorn.
"Perhaps a bit more contemporary then we usually see in Findhorn" commented Greig when asked by a neighbour "but we feel that our design approach for this project sits comfortably between the period Villas facing the Bay and the 1970's Fyrish Road housing. Clearly we would not design a new house to look like the buildings on either side so we chose to base our design approach on maximising the wonderful views across the site to Findhorn Bay".
The proposed development already has Outline Consent for a dwelling, subject to ridge line height contraints. For this reason and to accommodate the Clients' brief the site levels have been reduced within the plot by 0.75m. In this way ground floor bedroom accommodation faces out into a private courtyard garden with the principal living spaces on the first floor.
